Do you need your own training platform?
I will start with the question almost nobody asks, because it could save you money: not every company needs its own training platform. If you are going to publish four courses a year for twenty people, a subscription tool will do the job and work out cheaper. We tell you so, even when it is not in our interest.

- You train a lot of people on a recurring basis (staff, sales network, franchisees, distributors or customers) and the per-user cost of a subscription shoots up.
- You want your training to be subsidised through FUNDAE and need the platform to leave an auditable trail of what each learner does.
- Your training data has to live on a server you control, not on a third party’s.
- You need to connect it with what you already have: your corporate website, your CRM, your HR system or your online shop if you sell courses. Whatever Moodle does not solve on its own, we cover with bespoke web application development.

How we develop your training platform
We work with Moodle, the most widely used open-source LMS. That means the platform is yours: you pay no per-learner licence, and any other provider could maintain it tomorrow if you so decide. Of course, that does not help us commercially, but it is the honest thing to do. This is the order we work in:

What a good training platform needs to get right
Essentially, three things. That learners can log in and know what they have to do without asking for help. That the training manager can see in a report who has progressed and who has not, without exporting spreadsheets. And that, if subsidies are involved, everything each learner does is recorded in a way that can be justified.

This last point is the one that causes the most headaches. A platform that does not properly record connection time, assessments or communication with the tutor can leave training that has already been delivered impossible to justify. That is why we configure it and test it with a test learner before opening the first intake. Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to develop a bespoke training platform?
It depends on the number of learners, the integrations and whether the platform needs to be prepared for FUNDAE subsidies. That is why we do not give a fixed figure without the initial diagnosis, which is the first thing we do and where we will also tell you whether a subscription tool would suit you better.
Why Moodle and not a pay-per-user platform?
Because it is open source: you pay no per-learner licence, the data is yours and you are not tied to us. In return, you need someone to configure and maintain it properly. If your number of learners is small, a pay-per-user solution may work out cheaper, and we will tell you so.
Does the platform meet FUNDAE requirements for subsidised training?
We set it up for subsidised online training: a record of each learner’s log-ins and activity, assessments, communication with the tutor, exportable reports and access for inspection. The subsidy itself is managed by your company or your training management provider; we make sure the platform is not the weak link.
What types of content can I use in the courses?
Video, audio, documents, SCORM packages, quizzes and graded assignments. If you already have courses built in another tool, we check whether they can be imported before redoing anything.
Can it be integrated with our website, video conferencing or CRM?
Yes. The usual setup is access from your corporate website, live sessions with Zoom or Teams and connection with your CRM or with your online shop if you sell courses. Each integration is assessed in the diagnosis.
Can I issue certificates when a course is completed?
Yes. They are generated automatically when the learner meets the conditions you define (completing modules, passing the assessment or reaching a minimum number of hours) and are recorded on the platform.
Is there a limit on learners, courses or teachers?
Moodle does not impose a licence limit. The real limit is set by the server, which is why we size it according to the number of learners you expect to be connected at the same time, not the total number registered.
